Project-based program. Based on a prepared application scenario, the analysis, design and architecting will be provided as a starting piont for the program..

Prequistes:

Attendance of courses on, or working knowledge of:: Java programming, object analysis and design (preferably using UML), J2EE technologies (Servlet, JSP, EJB). Knowledge of the basics of HTML would be advantageous.

Content:

• requirement capture & scoping *
• analysis and design using UML *
• architecting for a 3-tier solution *
• designing a Web interface *
• producing a running Java model **
• partitioning into multi-tier architecture **
• implemention using Servlet, JSP and EJB technologies
• use of HTTP sessions
• partitioning of MVC responsibilities
• mapping onto corporate back-end databases
• using XP techniques (optional)
• unit testing
